PRIVACY POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how Schengen Stay Day Planner (the "App") handles information when you use its offline Schengen stay-day calculation and travel planning features. The App is published by BEST CHOICE PROPERTY, based in Pakistan.
The App is an independent planning tool, not a government service or an official application of the European Union, European Commission, Schengen authorities or immigration agencies.
2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER AND STORE
You may enter or save the following information: - Schengen destination country labels; - Trip entry and exit dates; - Optional notes associated with trips; - Settings such as onboarding completion, reminder preferences, alert lead times, warning thresholds and reminder hour.
Trip records are stored locally in an SQLite database in the App's private storage. Settings are stored in Android app preferences. The App does not require an account, username, password or sign-in.
3. HOW THE APP USES THIS INFORMATION
The App uses locally saved information to: - Calculate used and unused days for selected rolling 180-day windows; - Display trip records and calendar views; - Simulate potential future stays; - Schedule optional entry, exit and rolling-day notifications; - Generate PDF travel-history reports and JSON backups that you expressly request.
The App relies on the dates and details you provide. It does not automatically read your passport, immigration records, emails or current device location.
4. DATA COLLECTION, TRANSMISSION AND SHARING
The current App does not request internet access and does not transmit trip records, notes or settings to BEST CHOICE PROPERTY servers. It does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not automatically share your travel history with third parties.
You control any PDF report or JSON backup you export. If you choose a shared location, cloud-connected document provider, messaging app, email service or another destination to save or share an exported file, that service may process the file under its own privacy terms. The App does not choose those services or upload the file without your action.
5. ANDROID PERMISSIONS AND SYSTEM SERVICES
The App requests only the Android permissions needed for optional local reminder features: - POST_NOTIFICATIONS: to display travel reminders on supported Android versions when you enable notifications and grant permission; - RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: to allow eligible reminders to be scheduled again after the device restarts.
The App uses Android system notification and scheduling facilities for local reminders. Notifications may be delayed or blocked by device settings or battery management. Reminders can be disabled in the App.
PDF exports and JSON backup/restore use Android's system file picker. You select the document or destination; the App does not require broad file-storage access, device location access, camera access or contact access for these functions.
6. FILE EXPORTS AND RESTORES
When you export a PDF or JSON file, it is created at a location you choose using Android's document picker. Exported files are outside the App's private database and may remain available even after you delete App records or uninstall the App.
When you restore a JSON backup, the App accesses the file you selected, validates its format and replaces the existing stored trip records. Keep your own copy of important data before restoring a backup.
7. DATA SECURITY
The App uses Android's app-private storage to limit routine access to local travel records. Automatic Android application data backup is disabled in the supplied App configuration. However, the security of locally stored information also depends on your device, operating system and security settings.
Exported PDF and JSON files are not encrypted by the App. Take care when saving or sharing them, particularly if they contain travel dates or personal notes.
8. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Trip records and App preferences are retained locally while the App remains installed, unless you delete or replace them. You can: - Edit or delete individual stays in the Trips area; - Use the App's Clear all travel records option to remove stored trip records; - Restore a backup to replace the existing trip history; - Clear the App's storage from Android settings; - Uninstall the App to remove its private local data, subject to operating-system behavior.
The Clear all travel records option removes local trip records, but may not reset all preferences. To remove preferences too, clear App storage in Android settings.
Files you previously exported using the system file picker must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them. The publisher cannot remotely erase records stored solely on your device because the App has no account or server-side travel-history database.
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is intended as a general travel-planning utility and is not designed specifically for children. It does not provide child-directed online services, targeted advertisements or account registration. Parents or guardians should supervise use by minors where appropriate.
10. EMAIL COMMUNICATION
If you voluntarily email the publisher with a question, the email address, message and any information you include may be received and handled through the email provider used for correspondence. Such communications are separate from the App's offline travel-data functions. Please do not include sensitive passport numbers or other confidential documents unless necessary.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App uses Android operating-system components for local data storage, notification delivery and user-selected document handling. If you use an external provider to store or transmit an exported file, that provider's privacy practices apply. The App does not integrate third-party advertising, tracking or analytics services in the current reviewed version.
12. TRAVEL-CALCULATION DISCLAIMER
Any Schengen day count, calendar display, future-trip estimate or reminder is informational only. The App does not verify visa validity, residence-permit status, the number of permitted entries or entitlement to enter or remain in any country. Immigration decisions are made by relevant authorities and depend on current law and individual circumstances.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App's features, permissions, data-handling practices or legal obligations change. The revised policy will show a new "Last updated" date. Material changes to data practices should be reflected in both the in-App information and the published Privacy Policy.
